I leave some personal advice for the game. Just choose 1 offer on a team, don't bother about money o division, the team will be reset when you take control of it. Also, in the first season everybody starts at the same division. 1) Once you have your team, first thing you have to do is renew the players of interest: the seniors and the best juniors, look at their average and age. 2) Hire employees (staff): to start junior coach is essential (for training the team), a financier (for better conditions in sponsors, tv, credits ,...) Mind that their salaries are paid WEEKLY, so it might be wise to start with a staff with low salaries. 3) Do not accept offers TV AND SPONSOR early, grab some experience, playing friendlies, be patient. If you find you have a good team select the best economically for the shortest time possible. The more games you win the more partners you will have: you will get a better offer 4) The unused money save it to deposit. Don't waste money, firsts days use it wisely. 5) If you want good players do not necessarily have to pay clauses, be patient and check frequently auctions. (SIGNINGS->MARKET) 6) If you need a particular player use the technical secretary. 7) Before sign a player to pay the clause (unless it is a bargain) try to negotiate with the team before, send private messages. 8) Hire a scout, junior players in the categories in which one begins can become even better than the headlines, be patient. 9) You can also build a low profile school, and you will get free junior players, and eventualy you could get some future star player! 10) Sign for all the billboards in the stadium, this will help you to earn some money. |

Advice on Stadium upgrades: Since teams now starts with 36,000 seats stadium, don't waste money buy increasing the capacity rather upgrade the standing rows to general. I made the mistake of upgrading to 60,000 (12,000 gen. 48,000 stand). I'm on top of the table in div 5 and match attendance is around 30,000. More than more than half of the seats in standing row are not being utilised even though i'm charging $10 for standing. The amount I'm charging for general is 3 times that of standing, so the bottom line is the standing seats have little return on investment (ROI). A simple analysis below shows that it takes the same amount of games for both investments to break even. formula: ticket price x seats = revenue, upgrade cost divided by revenue to get amount of games it takes to recover money invested. Standing 12 x 6,000 = 72,000 > 950,000 / 72,000 = 13.19 > 14 home games General 25 x 6,000 = 150,000 > 2,050,000 / 150,000 = 13.67 > 14 home games Note: I'm using the default ticket prices. Not sure about the default ticket price and the upgrade cost for standing, I forgot it. Even though, both upgrades takes the same amount of games to break even, it doesn't mean the ROI for both investments are the same. Why? Revenue from general seats is twice more than that from standing. Which means that for every home game played after breaking even, you will be getting more revenue from general than standing. e.g. you play 5 more home games: Standing 72,000 x 5 = 360,000 General 150,000 x 5 = 750,000 So after 19 games [14 it takes to break even + 5 more] you will be 390,000 richer if upgrade you the general seats rather than the standing. NOTE: In the analysis it's assumed that the seats will be filled, but I said earlier the average attendance in div is around 30,000 if your team is performing well, so adding extra 6,000 seats wont do you any good. it will be a waste of money for the time being. Also when upgrading to generals seats it replaces the standing seats which means you lose the revenue the standing seats. [150,000 - 72,000 = 78,000]. Another example taking these factors into account i.e average attendance is 30,000 and general replaces standing. Here is the two scenario; scenario on the left (standing), scenario on the right (general): Capacity Attendance TP Revenue Capacity Attendance TP Revenue Standing: 30,000 18,000 12 216,000 Standing: 24,000 12,000 12 144,000 General : 12,000 12,000 25 300,000 General : 18,000 18,000 25 450,000 Total : 42,000 30,000 516,000 Total : 36,000 30,000 594,000 Note: Fans prefer general seats more than standing which means if 30,000 fans going to attend a match it's more likely that the general seats will be filled rather than standing.
