Hey, i have seen teams buy players for free using their scouts. I think it is a hostile clause?? How do you go about doing this or is there another way to get cheap youth players. Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks 01/06/2011 03:24

Hey,

Go to "SCOUT" in the main menu. From there you can give your scout orders and send him on a search- when he reports back you can instantly sign the players for free without having to go through an auction. All you have to do is negotiate the player's weekly salary. And yes, it will show up in the transaction history as "hostile clause".

You can also get youth players for "free" from a school. (But you pay to construct and maintain the school so it's not 100% free)

That was a good point, GunnerNic. As for the rest of the categories, it is mostly your preference. For example, maybe you know that most of the training you do for your juniors is for midfielders, in which case you might ask your scout to only look for midfielders. Or, suppose your youth coach is much better than your senior coach. In this case you would probably want young players (age 14, 15) so they would have as much time as possible with the good coach. It really depends on your situation.

quite right mfind!
you may want to search for max 15yrs as season end is close and they will all be a year older just like that!
Generally keep it simple as too many parameters can return 0 results.
