I upgraded my PRO seating to vip and had an increase of revenue by about 450,000..... After spending 18mil i think this is almost worthless as it will take me more than a full season to re cover its cost... Let alone the interest cost and the opportunity cost.... And yes i had used the optimise option....

A season to recover the cost is really not that long. Just think next season nearly everything you make from that VIP section will be profit. I think it is worth it. I make 800k from my VIP per game, and am halfway to recovering the cost, it sells out all the time and I constantly have to put the price up. So I am making more and more from it each game. 24/07/2011 21:02

Golden Ball

Just got vip. Added $600k to total gate.

payback = 30 games. Yes, it's a long term investment. But all infrastructure is.

If you are playing a game that is 10 levels, and you only need players to complete the levels, great, no problem.

If you are playing a game against others simulating management, infrastructure is the single most important thing you can invest in early on. The lower divisions are easy to get promotion. You can do that and still afford to upgrade your stadium. You can't win it all in 1 season, it will take 6. Better plan for that.

With stadium upgrades you never lose money, if you do it in a wise way...

Stadium is one of the best investments you can do, in my opinion

18m in the bank not going to earn 400,000 interest. So might as well upgrade to VIP seats! 25/07/2011 01:07

There are 19 home games in League, 13 in Private league in full season. On an average lets take 4 home games in CUP. This comes to a total of 38 games.
With an additional revenue of $500,000 we'll get a total of $19 mil total in one season.

But with it there is a cost of $70 per seat for maintainence. for 13 weeks a total of almost $5.5 mil.
Plus interset forgone @ 5% on the $18 mil comes to around $600k

This nets upto an additional revenue $12.9 mil in one season.

Also lets take an additional revenue of $1.1 mil for increase of ticket pricing (an average increase of about 6% which i think is enough )

So i'm earning a total of $14 mil in a season which doesn't cover my initial cost even when i'm supposing that all the money was earned and no loan was taken.

Also i must say that with more than 1 seating of same type the additional revenue will fall by about 20% as i have seen when i optimise which will make the recovery rate further less.

So i think building 1 VIP seatings will b helfpul after about 5 months. The second one will take even longer (read way longer)....

So my question a little modified, whether VIP seats are really worth it when build more than 1???

Yes because the cost will be recovered eventually. They are a long term investment. If you dont build them you will get left behind by all the teams that did decide build them. I worked out that my profit from my stadium so far is around £12m, so I'm already making money from it. And will soon have made enough to build another VIP section.

Hummmm.....

I've also made around $11.5 mil in 3 seasons combined with stadium....

But the funny thing is i've made $120 mil from selling players in the same time....

Looks like we are surviving on stock market and just taking our paycheque as poket money...
