We are receiving complaints from users who consider there are goal-feast results of matches between teams of similar average. Therefore, we have decided to write this post in order to explain how the new simulator works now, how it influences the average of the players and how important tactics are.

In the new simulator tactics take a cardinal importance, not only the formation but also the positions of the lines and the orders of play. A small change in any of these parameters can tip the scale one way or another.

In the old simulator, the midfielders were the most important players and get 6 midfielders gave more chances to win, or play with one striker or to select the minimum defenders were more than enough to win. Now all lines look equally important, you must play the real role of coach and study seriously your opponents, your defeats and check where the weak points are.

So forget everything you already knew about the old simulator and discover the running of new one.
Firstly we would like to remark that many of you neglect the defense. Now the defense is a very important line as in real life, and if you decide to play with less than 4 defenders it will be too risky. Of course you can do it but keep in mind that your opponent can win by a mile. Likewise, defense in zone is dangerous, that helps you to maintain the position of your defenders, but you risk to be left alone some lethal strikers. We recommend you to start being conservative when setting tactics, to establish strong defense and then you can start building a strategy to midfielders and forwards.

In the section “tactics” there are other parameters we would be better to explain:

- The positions of the lines are important face of an offside tactics but also to secure the connection between the lines or otherwise obfuscate the play of your opponent by accumulating players near the center of the field.

- The effort: a low effort will do the players to run a little less during the match and therefore get less tiring. A high effort in big games can give you an extra energy, that is necessary to be superior to rival. Be careful with this parameter because the energy is very important in matches, the less tired team is usually the winner.

- Defense: as discussed above, a defense in zones is dangerous to begin with, only very experienced managers should take risks.

- Attack: The attack on the wings is important. This parameter gives priority to passes on the wings or to the middle. In very tight defenses keep in mind the play on the wings and if you have fast wingers do not doubt it for a second.

- Play: This parameter is crucial for the team's playing style when having the ball. The play basing on control or short passes, give priority above all to keep possession of the ball at the expense of not risking too much on the passes, short passes are made without too much risk. In the play “counterattack” is more likely to lose the ball because players do very vertical and long passes.

We will end with a few brief comments about matches and players’ average.
The overall game length has been considerably reduced. From now on games will last 30 minutes.

The average of players becomes a guidance value when signings and creating your team. That indicates the player’s performance on the field, but you can never consider it as a safe value. If you use a bad tactic you can even lose against the worst team in the game.
Share your successful tactics with other users, this simulator is very open. There are many things left to be discovered in this new simulator.
