i don't know how much cash he has stashed away. Looking at his team, he is probably better in Superkrapper's league or the 45-50 league, but his senior team average is less than 45, and only at the last minute did this turn into a "new player league" concept. It is really for active players 35-45. Can't eject him now, though I think. He has to leave under his own accord, either way, is fine. Right now, he is not the best team in the league, personnel wise. His juniors can contribute cash if he sells them, but if he doesn't, they won't help him this season. There are 2 ways to look at it. #1. It sucks, I don't have all easy wins or super competitive matches. (if he thinks he can walk away with the league and joins, then he has no cajones) #2. Cool. There is someone in the league I can view as an Evil Empire. I can win most, and with him, I should work to win or be better than. He's not that experienced, but much less so than the excluded teams, if you work at your team, you should be able to win. Personally, i would take #2. In the 50-55 league, I am mid table at this point... I intend to be winning most of the games in that league, I'm not sure I can, and will have to work hard to improve my team. I know for a fact that almost everyone else in that league will be working extremely hard. Even the division 6 team in that league has a tough attitude about winning them all. So it's a good thing that you have a bar to shoot for. So have fun, talk some trash and go crazy. This is fun, remember |

2 teams joined in may, 2 in april, and i think 1 in march. Of those 5 teams, 4 have been low/slow in transaction rate until fairly recently. One has a consistent transaction rate, but strictly junior players. Looking at personnel, Brezzette (you) have the most powerful senior squad in the league...consider that the most important and easily the most expensive pieces of a squad are the GK & CF. Yours are both young and strong for this league. Both can be trained up. Almost everyone else will have to acquire one or the other...you only need to improve. Someone who wants to drop 30 euro on the game can easily overcome any person in this league in no time. Consider my squad. I started April 19. Played for 7 days, then my team was completely reset...to a state weaker than yours when it started. (p 28 of transaction log) within 30 days, my team average was 50, and my youth squad kicks ass... I should be able to move through Div 5 with little difficulty, and will try to get to a point where I can beat most div 4 teams handily. I joined a private league that will hurt me in the end, I will likely lose 50% of my league games, costing me 150k+ a game....like almost $2M. I friggin hate losing...so I will be working twice as hard to beat a**holes like Horath. (that is a joke, btw) My opinion is that competitive is good, having a couple of bumps in the road is better. Everyone in this league, minus one or two, have more bumps than you...your division 6 is a cakewalk, and you will see very little competition in it. In 3 weeks, you will be begging to take on harder opponents. btw, if you get offered a div 5 spot, take it. This way, you won't have to take on friendlies that give you no money whatsoever, risk injury, and wear your team down. I spent millions simply because I had fatigue problems... Taking on friendlies was a mistake for me. It took time, energy and money....sucked with the exception of making friends along the way. If the last 3 teams accept, you should have a very competitive group, but not nearly as competitive as the 50-55 group. They are all easy going, but every single one of those guys hate losing. It will be fun. Enough of my ranting and raving ! Whatever you do, if you lose to St. Louis Mustangs, you will never hear the end of it. My daughter is 12, and I am basically cutting her loose. I got her set up so that good players aren't stolen and she has decent contracts, but she is really on her own. So nani_17 is the least of your worries. nomi_no_no should be your greatest fear. Lose to her and watch the league forum light up! |
