Like you said, you raised the amount you are willing to hostile by 200%...do you expect someone to hostile your players? no So when you want to sell a player, you will go to market...what you will do is start the auction at a lower price so you can sell. You will usually have to start the auction at a price less than the average hostile price, because you will not always find a good buyer in that 3 day auction period. I dont see how it harms, it just makes people go to market which i think is good. And yes, prices going up a bit will be good to a certain extent. New managers are not supposed to be able to buy good players once they arrive. They have to train players first so it could take about half a season or a season, then they sell their trained players...and guess what, they will get good money that they can use for other things. I like your idea about buying players from adjacent divisions. *never mind, this is what i thought at first then i changed my mind...here is why* Once we get div 1/2...the market will be VERY small for those in div 1. They will only have div 1/2 to buy from. Its bad because prices will go through the roof for higher divisions, but its good in a way because it will pass the money down the ladder. I mean div 1 teams will send their money to div 2 for players...same will happen with div 2/3...so it could lead to somewhat of an equality through this money transfer to lower divisions. I think this is a good idea that could work, not sure if i missed any other implications of it. |

i think it will be good to have trading only from adjacent divisions. A 80% progression guy in div 6 can move only to div 5 and so on.. so all the divisions will have good progression players... also there can be cap... like, if a player starts a season in div 6, he can be transferred only uptill div 4... so after 2 transfers in same season (6-5 and 5-4) the player will be between 4 and 5 only... | 05/10/2011 11:54 |

What I meant was I'd be happy to pay twice the value to hostile a player than what I could buy him in the market for because I know it's a good investment. And I've priced all my players at the amount I'd be willing to accept to sell them. I don't want to drive people away necessarily because I know I could do some great things if I sold one of them. I agree new managers shouldn't be able to afford good players; what I meant was that it will be difficult for them to invest in great players if their ability to find them is weakened. Especially since market-wise they will need to trust what people say regarding progression. When they reach higher divisions they'll be slapped straight back down again because they have either, no cash to invest with (as a result of having nothing to sell), or no good players to implement. This brought me to my second point regarding the adjacent markets, of which we agree, could be pretty useful in this situation Edit - spellling and stuff Edited by practicesquad 05-10-2011 12:12 |

though i do think that for higher div managers, Forecast is more imp... I mean, in Div 2, an avg 70 IM is useless, even with progression of 90... but a 85 FC IM is good, even at 50% progression... thus, the market thread becomes more important... |
