Remember the simple rule that still works. If defender has the ball he will pass to another defender if he is ahead, if there is no defeder ahead, he will pass to a midfielder. Midfielder will pass to a modfielder if there is another midfielder ahead, otherwise he will pass to a striker. Etc etc.

They dont care if the other defender or mid is standing in your six yard box.
