 its a game of 2 halves

short passes grt for attacking but bad when defending

also width; less width is better for defenders as it closes up the gaps but bad for attackers as they like space, i havent tried a a narrow game using wingers, be interesting to try - guessing it would fail epic

so i summerise by saying u r best off keeping sliders in the middle. However, i am always trying to break the sim and find ways to beat the logic of football itrw as ofc this is only a 1's and 0's random number generator so should be doable

 errm actually i am rather struggling just to get a s****ing corner

 Wiv.. if we already have given up in div 2, why don't u do a Stoke and put all ur 11 players in opp box when u get a corner.

this is the only thing why i prefer use high counterattack,
but if someone found the way how to avoid it, then i'll back to shortpass

 Usually when you play short passes you want to keep your players much closer to each other. It is also a slow possession type of build up so you need a lot of support when bringing the ball up. The major problem with it is that sometimes you get punished by players mispassing, most notably defenders due to their lackluster passing stat.

Also, what I've noticed is that short passes are more apt to passing sideways, backwards, and diagonals. Counter attacking is more straight, direct, and far passes. 		11/08/2013 16:54
