it seems to me the only time i should have deposits is when i have a full senior and junior squad because for eg - 600m deposit yields only 20m per season interest, where as any fool can buy a high prg player train him for a season sell and make way more than 20m , in fact i would expect to be able to double that 600m simply by buying 3 or 4, 90+ prg 14/15 yr olds train for one season and sell each of them i still see a lot of people not with full squads yet they prob have large deposits /o\ just a thought oh and i know the div 1 type managers are so rich they cant be bothered but the rest of us trying to push them off thier thrones should be working the transfer market more imo ![]() |

I usually dump any extra cash into my deposit until I need/want it. That way if I don't use it, it helps offset some of the weekly expenses. But I usually don't put money in there just to put it in there. | 10/09/2013 01:55 |

For the last two seasons, what I did was cash in a set sum like 500k or 1m each in the deposits each day for the whole season. At the end of the season, I would take it all out (which ended up being about 50m-70m) and spend it on rebuilding my squad and shuffling things around. I was back in div5 at that time so it was A LOT of cash for someone in my division. It does accumulate each day, so if you have some pocket change, just chuck it in there for some emergency fund or something. |

Wiveliscombe, it is a very interesting thought. I have always used it as a place to dump money so i'm not tempted to spend it. I then take it out to buy a big $ player. The idea of buying and training appeals to me, though. Certainly something to think on. | 10/09/2013 14:42 |

people just need to be careful of taxes. doing it this way means sometimes its difficult to free up money when you see a player going cheap in the market |

For managers who can't sell their players to save their lives (like me!), deposits are nice because of the liquidity of those assets. If I see a player I want to buy, I just withdraw the funds and bid - trying to sell prospects when you don't have connections or an established reputation of success can be difficult. | 11/09/2013 18:39 |
