This would eliminate the exploit of dropping the salary of players you're loaning out. One team in my group has 2 95+ CF with under $300m buyout clause. |

I don't doubt that they SAID they couldn't. But that assertion doesn't mean they couldn't revamp the code defining the overall mechanism of loaning. For example: at the instant of pressing "accept loan," yes, sure, the salary is fixed. But they could add a routine before the player is allowed to enter a player as being eligible for loan to check that player against a list of similar position/age/rating to detemine if it's appropriate. Or something else, if they don't like that. In short: The process of getting to the accept button has MANY options, any of which could be edited. They have to agree first, however. |

Can't Another way to minimise the problem would be to make players "aware" of their value: Bind the salary stronger to the market value. For example you make statistics of the value (hostile clause value) of the average player of a position and agesgroup and define that the minimum salary a player would accept has to reach a hostile clause value of for example 40-80% of this price. This way strong abuse like the example could be avoided. |
