3.3.1 Effort: This is clearly how much effort the players will put into the game (run faster, tackle better, pass better etc). If you click the “i” button during your simulation you will see a green bar over the players. If your players start the game with 99 stamina, the bar will be fully green. If you play with 100% effort, you will have very tired players for the last 20 mins and you could lose the game because of it. Also you will have used roughly 20 of your players stamina points so he could well be down to 79 stamina after one game! If you set up multiple tactics with different efforts, you can use them in “Advanced Tactics”. 3.3.2 Defence: Zonal Marking vs Man Marking. Man marking is less risky as there is less likelihood of an opposition attacker finding large amounts of space. This may be a good option for a new manager or playing a strong attacking opposition. The drawback of man marking is it can pull your defenders way out of position and tire them out. Zonal marking will keep your defence in a better shape and is probably employed by more experienced managers that have quicker defenders. The drawback of zonal marking is that there is more space for the attacking players, for example - a counter attacking long ball to a CF can leave him through on goal. Somewhere in between is employed by most managers. 3.3.3 Attack: This is pretty simple, which passing style suits you? Wide play with full backs and wingers or strong central midfielders. 3.3.4 Play: Short Passes vs Counterattack (Long passes) – short passes will ensure higher possession and a lower risk of losing the ball to the opposition. Long passes used in counterattack situations can be very effective to wide players or central strikers and can nick you a quick goal. However there is a much higher risk of losing the ball in a 50/50 situation. Counterattack can be employed by teams playing stronger opposition in conjunction with other tactics. 3.4 These are your lines of Defence, Midfield and Attack – they define how advanced (forward) or how deep (back) you want these players. Positioning of these lines can be critical to your performance. In the above example the defence is set forward to play for offside, hoping the quick defenders will be able to cover any attack. The midfield is set slightly back to aid in defence and maintaining ball possession. The attack is set quite far forward so the slow CF can get behind the defence with a through ball from the OM especially if your opponent plays with a deep defence. Guys look at my view on Tactic. You are using a tactic against a team of a higher division, you start with; FEATURES 50 effort 50 defense 50 play 50 attack. CAMPO Fwd 35 Ave 50 Def 70 Delayed. If you wanna set your advanced tactic, you can increase the above features and campo, eg you can play on 80effort. |
