Hackers have not invaded SM. All of these reports are of the managers own making. If you give your password to someone, for whatever reason, it is not hacking. You gave them the password. It doesn't matter what they promised to do, you willingly gave them your password. If you purchased or were given an account that you did not create and the other manager takes it back because he knows the original email and you don't? That's not hacking. You take your own risk when you engage in such behavior. This is precisely why we do not condone the selling of accounts. If you pass your phone around with logging out of SM, if you do not take precaution to clear cache, if you let someone get your password, this is not hacking. This is user error. If you cannot access the original email used to open the SM account, it is highly unlikely you will ever get into that account again if you somehow give someone access to the SM password. So if you are going to buy/trade/ give accounts around, know full well that if something happens to the account you are likely out of luck. I've yet to see a true instance of hacking of an SM account. Nearly every case is a purchased account where the manager then lets someone have the password. That is not hacking. In short, if you wouldn't give your bank password and account to someone, don't give your SM password or let them use your device where they can get the password from. From @vgates |
