Hello, I need someone to help me resolve this issue. I use advanced settings, and when d ball is in my own half, my players keep in passing the ball to themselves in my own half with 1touch. None of my players try to move upfield to my opponent's half with the ball. I only move to my opponent's half when I have a throw in or free kick or goal kick. i have sort of the same problem when inn defence, the players start passing the ball 3-4 times straigt to the sides, and often the ball ends up with the opponent, it dosent happen that often anymore, only 6-7 times a game. my passing is aroung 70-80% counterattack, so if anyone knows why this happens please share  |

I lost 3 points cos of this problem yesterday. |

Sometimes defenders are just idiots and pass between themselves. Else it also depends on your attack slider. If you try a test and set it to wide, the defenders or defending mids try and get the ball to the flanks, provided your formation is setup correctly. |

where is your DEF (red) line and MID (yellow) line in the Tactics ? try a game by putting it exactly in the middle , and see how it goes, i never ran into this problem with my defense (EXCEPT when i had it on Short Passes) but i noticed with the attacking players too much counter attack makes the players stand still and results in passing the ball to each other, till finally one would decide to drive the ball forward, |

I watched your game a bit yesterday, the problem is that you have ypur strikers positioned around your own box. They never get the chance to move up the field simply because they are sitting too deep. Move them up. They are terrible at defending(even wingers) and shouldnt be that far back. Remember the simple rule that still works. If defender has the ball he will pass to another defender if he is ahead, if there is no defeder ahead, he will pass to a midfielder. Midfielder will pass to a modfielder if there is another midfielder ahead, otherwise he will pass to a striker. Etc etc. They dont care if the other defender or mid is standing in your six yard box. |
