Agreed; the qualifying procedure isn't the greatest and it tries to get as many teams from each continent to qualify, i.e. there's quite a few teams that didn't meet sides as good as Germany or Portugal on the way to qualifying. But Europe already has 13 qualifiers, not sure that more can be accommodated without the WC expanding. it's such a shame they are proposing to expand the Euros. |

To be fair to the Swiss, they have a very good manager, who has achieved some really good results in recent years (wins over Germany, Brazil and Spain). That's why they have a good FIFA ranking and got the easier group. I don't know enough about Bosnia to comment on them, but they did top their group and seem to be a good team. |

Pjanic Begovic Dzeko Ibesevic Misimovic Hajrovic Salihovic All class players, i can easily see why they topped their group which had a good greece side and a good Slovakian side They also only conceded 6 goals which is impressive over 10 games and were 4th highest scoring team behind germany (thanks to ireland) netherlands (thanks to hungary) and england (thanks to san marino) Edited by @bowsey1986 14-01-2014 17:36 |
